“Who Was First?” exhibit provides information on a number of Black health professionals and institutions who were pioneers in the development of health care across America. It recognizes the contribution and achievement of physicians, Nurses, Dentists, Administrators’, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Inventors and many others who overcame challenges and obstacles to carve out a stellar career in their community. They were the “First” to step up and insist on a change.
